Context

Before initiating the program, Passerelles numériques conducted a thorough study of the socio-economic status of Vietphái nam. Demographic data revealed that the vast majority of the population in remote areas và the Central Highlands suffered from a stagnant economy and limited access lớn higher education.

Danang seemed to lớn be a promising hub for IT development, with strong tư vấn và incentives granted by the government. Therefore, it was an igiảm giá place for our students lớn find secure job opportunities after graduating.

WeB replaced System và Network Administration (SNA).2012: 1st graduated class of 27 students.2010: Launch of PN’s 3rd program in Danang with 30 students.

Impact

Since 2010, PN Vietphái nam has transformed the lives of more than 500 underprivileged youth through IT education.

In 2020, 94% of our 350 alumni had found a qualified job after graduation with an average salary of ~$633 USD per month – which is about 4 times higher than the minimum wage in Danang.

And this benefit reaches far beyond our graduates themselves; they reported spending ~36% of their total income lớn tư vấn their family & community.

Selection

Each year, from January lớn August, Passerelles numériques Vietnam’s selection team completes a rigorous, four-step process lớn select talented và motivated underprivileged youths from seven provinces in Central Vietnam: Quảng Bình, Quảng Trị, TP Đà Nẵng, Quảng Nam, Quảng Ngãi, Kon Tum, Tỉnh Bình Định.

PN Vietphái nam collaborates with Study Promotion Associations (SPAs) from each province, who introduce us to local high schools, & facilitate the process in accordance with local laws và customs.

A special effort is made to include at least 50% young women in each class. Beyond that, priority is given to the poorest students irrespective sầu of sex or gender identity.

Training & education program

Passerelles numériques Vietphái nam currently collaborates with Danang Vocation Training College on curriculum kiến thiết and training delivery. At graduation, students receive sầu a college degree, recognized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs, as well as a certificate diploma from Passerelles numériques.

A solid technical và practical 3-year training in Software Development & Testing

We train our students khổng lồ be well-rounded, developing all the skills they need lớn become experts at the best IT companies. To this end, PN strongly supports learning by doing, which is why all of our IT topics include at least 1/2 lab-practice time.

Our program includes:

English occupies a central place in PN training approach. With the target of TOEIC 500+, PNV is aiming for students to lớn be able lớn listen & read with ease. An intense focus is made on communicative sầu English with classes stressing on pronunciation & speaking throughout the whole curriculum. English is considered as an essential tool: PNV trains students to have sầu adequate IT vocabulary & the confidence to lớn use it in front of any foreigners.

Soft Skills are a life-long learning to lớn help students work effectively in companies while using organizational tools (Google-suite, Coggle, Trello) with ease. 4 modules Learning lớn Learn, Job Application, Professionalism and Thinking và Mindmix are built lớn make sure the students can maximize their employability after graduation.

Social và educational development

To prepare these young people lớn become mature and independent adults, we developed a personal development curriculum which revolves around PN’s values: Trust, Responsibility, Solidarity, Respect, và a Demanding approach.

As part of this program, students live together in dormitories, located near PN Vietnam giới, where they learn how to lớn become autonomous và responsible adults. They are in charge of managing a budget with which they buy food, pay for the water and electricity bills, organize cleaning & cooking shifts, solve group issues và take care of each other.

In order for our students to focus on their intense studies, PNV covers their needs & expenses including:
